Coupe de France: Wahi brace sends Nice past Strasbourg

Nice are through to the Coupe de France final after a 2-0 win at RC Strasbourg at Stade de la Meinau. Elye Wahi scored both goals, striking just after half-time and again from the spot late on. Strasbourg saw more of the ball and produced plenty of efforts, but the finish never quite arrived.
Wahi decides it
Wahi opened the scoring in the 51st minute, finishing with his right foot after Jonathan Clauss supplied the pass from the right. The second arrived on 82 minutes from the penalty spot, won by substitute Mohamed-Ali Cho, and calmly converted past Mike Penders.
François Letexier had a busy second half. There was a VAR check for a potential Nice penalty at 79 minutes that was not awarded, before Cho drew a separate foul for the decisive spot kick. Nice closed it out with controlled defending and a couple of late cautions for game management.
Strasbourg’s volume, Nice’s control
Gary O’Neil’s Strasbourg dominated possession 66% to 34% and out-shot Nice 17-4. They created five big chances but failed to score, hitting the target only twice. Julio Enciso was at the heart of it with seven attempts and four big chances missed.
Claude Puel’s Nice leaned on set-pieces and fast breaks, finishing with nine corners and 36 clearances. They also won 53% of the duels and made 20 tackles, key numbers when you spend long spells without the ball. Maxime Dupé added one big save and three punches when Strasbourg’s pressure spiked.
Who topped the Sofascore Ratings
