Wolves vs Tottenham predictions: In-form hosts to beat distracted Spurs

&w=707&quality=100)
- Wolves have not lost in the Premier League since February
- Tottenham have suffered nine away defeats in the league
- Recommended bet: Wolves to win
In-form Wolves can move a step closer to guaranteeing their Premier League status for another season when they welcome Tottenham to Molineux on Sunday.
Vitor Pereira's side are one of the form teams in the division following a run of three successive victories, the latest of which, against fellow strugglers Ipswich, means they should remain in the top flight for another season.
Wolves can actually move to within two points of Spurs if they win this game and the visitors may be a little distracted, given this trip to the West Midlands comes in the middle of their Europa League quarter-final tie with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Europe appears to be the priority for Ange Postecoglou's side for the remainder of the season and they will have everything to play for in Germany next midweek after Thursday's first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium finished 1-1.
Team news

The big news for Wolves is the return of leading scorer Matheus Cunha, who has missed the last four games through suspension, although given the Old Gold have taken 10 points from those matches, he may not be guaranteed to start.
Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez, Sasa Kalajdzic and Leon Chiwone all remain sidelined with serious knee injuries,
Spurs are likely to once again be without defenders Radu Dragusin (knee) and Kevin Danso (thigh), as well as winger Dejan Kulusevski (foot), although the latter could return for the midweek trip to Frankfurt.
The stats
Wolves head into the weekend on the longest winning run in the Premier League after recording three successive victories against Southampton, West Ham and Ipswich.
The hosts are also unbeaten in their last four meetings with Spurs (W3, D1), a sequence that includes back-to-back victories over the North Londoners at Molineux.
Tottenham have lost their last two away games in the league without scoring, while only the bottom two heading into the weekend, Leicester and Southampton, have lost more away games than Postecoglou's team.
Spurs' Premier League matches this season have featured the most goals of any side (103 – 58 for, 45 against), while Wolves are second on that list (102 – 43 for, 59 against).
The two sides played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in December's reverse meeting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Jorgen Strand Larsen grabbing a late equaliser for Wolves that day.
Prediction
Wolves are in flying form and already look safe, but until they are mathematically secured of their top-flight status for next season, Pereira will have them focused, particularly as they look to make it four wins on the bounce.
Spurs could be the ideal opponents for Wolves this weekend, not only because of their poor away record, but also as their primary focus will be on Thursday's European clash with Frankfurt.
Postecoglou may opt to rotate his starting XI with that game in mind and although his squad is looking a lot healthier than it did a few months ago, a much-changed team may struggle to cope with a cohesive Wolves unit.
This is a match Wolves would not be confident of winning under normal circumstances, but given their form and Tottenham minds being potentially elsewhere, it is hard to see this finishing in anything other than a Wolves victory.
