- Wolves lost 3-1 at Chelsea last weekend
- Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday

- Recommended bet: Arsenal/Arsenal - Half Time/Full Time

Relegation contenders Wolves need to stop the bleeding against title challengers Arsenal in a crunch showdown at Molineux.

Wolves have lost three on the spin, conceding three goals each time, while the Gunners hope their own 3-0 drubbing of Dinamo Zagreb in Europe can set them up for a vital league win as they hunt down Liverpool.

Team news

Wolves' boss Vitor Pereira has spent the week fending off questions about the future of Matheus Cunha and has to decide if the Brazilian features here.

Central defender Toti Gomes could be in line for a recall to Pereira's back three after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Arsenal are still minus both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus from their frontline, while French central defender William Saliba is a doubt at the back.

Striker Gabriel Jesus remains sidelined for Arsenal, who are short of attacking options.

The stats

Wolves have lost each of their last seven games against Arsenal, who have won eight of their 10 Premier League away fixtures at Molineux.

The Old Gold have lost 18 of their last 20 matches against sides in the top two in the division.

Wolves, who have conceded more goals (51) than any other side, have also conceded more goals from crosses (10) than anyone else. Arsenal have scored more goals from crosses (11) than any other side.

Arsenal have led at half-time in 12 of their 22 matches, while Wolves have trailed at the interval on 10 occasions.

Prediction

Pereira enjoyed a dream start as Wolves' boss with back-to-back wins over Leicester and Manchester United.

Three defeats later, at the hands of Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Chelsea and conceding three each time, have been the reality check he probably needed.

Wolves go into the weekend out of the bottom three on goal difference only and obviously vulnerable to an opponent with an impressive record at Molineux, who are second in the table and who are 28 points better off.

The Gunners have been going through a sticky patch themselves, hurt by an FA Cup exit at the hands of Man Utd which came hot on the heels of the 2-0 home loss to Newcastle in the EFL Cup semi-final.

Then last week they went 2-0 up at home to Aston Villa but were pegged back, drawing 2-2.

Much has been made of their lack of a top-class centre-forward, but against a lesser side such as Wolves they are bound to create chances and have more than enough firepower to score a few.

They generally get off to strong starts – they were in front inside two minutes on Wednesday in their 3-0 Champions League triumph over Dinamo – and can land Half Time/Full Time glory at a venue where they rarely miss out.
