&w=707&quality=100)
- West Ham sit 16th and 10 points above the bottom three
- Brentford are five places and four points better off than their hosts
- Recommended bet: Draw
West Ham will hope to gain ground on Brentford when the two teams meet at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers are 16th in the table and while they still have work to do, they have a 10-point cushion over 18th-placed Leicester.
A win for Graham Potter's side would allow West Ham to move within one point of Brentford, but neither team head into the game in impressive form.
Team News
West Ham's Jarrod Bowen returned from a foot injury in the recent 2-1 defeat to Chelsea and he should lead the line at the London Stadium.
Bowen could be joined by striker Evan Ferguson, who joined the Hammers on loan from Brighton until the end of the season.
Niclas Fullkrug, Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville are all expected to miss out through injury, but Edson Alvarez, Lucas Paqueta and Jean-Clair Todibo are all expected to be fit.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank should still be without Aaron Hickey, Igor Thiago, Gustavo Nunes, Josh Dasilva and Rico Henry.
Goalkeeper Mark Flekken missed the recent 2-0 win against Tottenham due to a side strain, but he is expected to return between the sticks this weekend.
The stats
West Ham are winless in three in the Premier League, but their performances have improved under Potter.
The Hammers have lost half of their 12 home games in the Premier League this season.
Brentford have only won one of their last five games in all competitions. The Bees have struggled on the road for most of the season, winning only two of their 11 games away from home.
However, those two wins have come in the Bees' last two outings away from home and they are unbeaten in three top-flight away matches.

Prediction
West Ham and Brentford are both vulnerable at the back and the recent break for the FA Cup should have done both teams the world of good.
Potter needed that time to get to know his players better and to try and get Ferguson up to speed after a poor first half of the season.
Brentford's issues are mainly centred around consistency, with Frank's men losing five of their last nine Premier League games.
On their day, Brentford can compete with anyone in the Premier League and they should be competitive after a recent upturn in results away from home.
However, West Ham are also improving and there is every chance these two teams cancel each other out in the capital on Saturday.
