With the end of the season in sight, things are heating up across Europe’s top leagues and with another weekend of key games ahead, below are five sides backed to secure vital victories.

Recommended five-fold: Girona, Monaco, Lyon, Cagliari, Roma at 48/1 with LiveScore Bet.

Saturday, 1pm

This season has not matched the highs of last term for Girona, but they have picked off struggling sides to keep clear of danger. The hosts have won five of their six home clashes with the seven teams below them.

That good run should continue this weekend, as Girona host an Alaves side who are 17th in the standings, having lost eight times on their travels this term.

Saturday, 6pm

Brest enjoyed some incredible Champions League nights this term, but they veve fallen short against Ligue 1’s top teams.

They have lost all six clashes with the league’s top five, including a 3-2 reverse against Monaco.

The visitors have a solid away record and have won three of their last four matches. Monaco are hoping to wrap up second place and they can record a comfortable win in this trip.

Bruno Genesio's Lille face a crunch clash at Lyon, who are in fine form on their own patch.

Saturday, 8:05pm

This key clash in the European race sees a Lille side who have lost three of their last four trips head to an in-form Lyon outfit.

The hosts have won four of their last five home games and have won five of their last seven in Ligue 1. Lyon can leapfrog the visitors with a victory, so back the hosts to continue a good run at home.

Sunday, 2pm

Empoli are in dreadful form, with their Serie A record tailing off as they progressed in the Coppa Italia.

The hosts have lost 11 of their previous 15 league games, winning none. Their cup run also looks to be over, following a 3-0 loss at home to Bologna in the first leg on Tuesday night.

Cagliari have won five of their eight clashes with the sides below them in Serie A. Despite that, they are a great price to see off an Empoli side on the slide.

Sunday, 7:45pm

Juventus returned to winning ways against Genoa, but their problems are far from over. Sunday’s visit to Roma comes with the Giallorossi in incredible form.

The hosts have won eight of their last nine, including seven straight Serie A outings.

Juve have lost three of their last five on the road and they are in line for another defeat against a Roma side who have won 12 of their last 13 at home.
