Napoli star Victor Osimhen is considering legal action after the Partenopei posted a video on TikTok seemingly mocking the striker.

The footage — which the club have since deleted — featured a clip of the Super Eagles hotshot's penalty miss in the 0-0 draw with Bologna last Sunday with a sped-up voice dubbed over the top of it.

Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda issued a statement yesterday evening.

He wrote: "What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable.

"A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.

"A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news.

"We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor."

The row comes after there appeared to be tension between Osimhen and Napoli boss Rudi Garcia towards the end of the Bologna match.

Osimhen could be seen berating his manager after being substituted off with four minutes remaining.

The 24-year-old was Napoli's star man last season as the club captured the Serie A title for the first time since 1990.

He scored 26 goals in 32 league matches, winning the division's Best Striker award and earning a spot in the Team of the Season.

Osimhen has already found the back of the net three times in all competitions this term, including a match-winning brace against Frosinone on the opening weekend.
