West Ham are interested in signing Emile Smith Rowe as part of the deal that would see captain Declan Rice head to Arsenal.

The Sun indicate Hammers boss David Moyes is a big fan of Smith Rowe as they prepare for life without their club captain.

Rice is poised to leave the Irons having signed off by helping them win the Europa Conference League — their first trophy since 1980.

A switch to the Gunners is the move Rice has his heart set on as they continue their development under Mikel Arteta.

With West Ham now resigned to losing their main man, they hope they can land Arsenal academy graduate Smith Rowe as a consolation.

The talented forward endured an injury-hit season which has seen him fall down the pecking order in the Gunners frontline.

The report indicates Arteta is reluctant to lose the 22-year-old starlet but could be tempted to part ways if it becomes critical in the Rice deal.

Manchester United are also not giving hope of signing Rice this summer, with the Red Devils hoping to land him and England team-mate Mason Mount.
