Eric Dier is unlikely to stay at Bayern Munich beyond this summer due to concerns over his lack of pace, according to reports in Germany.

The centre-back, 30, only completed a loan move to the Bavarian giants from Tottenham in January.

Dier has made five appearances for the Bundesliga club so far, with three of those coming from the start.

But Bild say there are already doubts over the England defender's ability to be a success at the Allianz Arena.

The Bundesliga giants are currently enduring a tumultuous period after announcing manager Thomas Tuchel will leave the club at the end of the season.

Bayern have lost their last three games in all competitions and currently trail league leaders Bayer Leverkusen by eight points.

Dier is not short of competition at his new club, with Dayot Upamecano, Minjae Kim and Matthijs De Ligt among their other defensive options.

He could be looking for another home at the end of the season, with his contract at parent club Spurs set to expire.
