Swindon and MK Dons closed their League Two campaigns with a 0-0 draw at the County Ground that lacked goal-mouth action.

The Robins looked to be in trouble early on when Connor Lemonheigh-Evans drove into the box but captain Clarke put in a vital covering tackle.

Town then cut the visitors open with lively left-back Billy Kirkman sending in a low cross which Nnamdi Ofoborh just could not turn in.

And Robins skipper Clarke again thwarted the marauding Dons forward Lemonheigh-Evans just as he was about to shoot after seizing on a rebound.

Swindon goalkeeper Connor Ripley got a strong punch to deny a Callum Hendry header before gathering a mishit looping shot from Kane Thompson-Sommers.

The Robins’ Will Wright then crashed a free-kick into the Dons wall before blasting the rebound into the stand.

After the break Wright did well to deny Danilo Orsi as he was about to pull the trigger.

At the other end Danny Butterworth span on the edge of the box but his thunderbolt flew over.
