Stockport ended their first year back in League One in third place and will face Leyton Orient in the play-offs after they beat Wycombe 3-1 at Adams Park.

Garath McCleary put the home side ahead and Luke Leahy then saw his penalty saved by Stockport goalkeeper Corey Addai around the hour mark.

The visitors capitalised when Benony Andresson levelled with 20 minutes left before Oliver Norwood (penalty) and Will Collar scored in quick succession.

After Xavier Simons saw an audacious chip from inside his own half skim the top of the goal, Wycombe went ahead in the 31st minute when Dan Udoh set up McCleary for his first goal since January.

The turning point arrived just after the hour when Addai saved Leahy’s penalty after Owen Moxon handled.

Icelandic forward Andresson smashed home his fourth of the campaign since joining in January before Norwood converted a penalty after he was tripped by Fred Onyedinma seven minutes later.

Then, with nine minutes remaining, Collar’s first-time strike flew beyond Will Norris to seal Stockport’s first win at Adams Park since April 2003.

Wycombe finished the campaign in fifth place and will take on Charlton in the play-offs.
