- Rangers are playing their first match after Philippe Clement's sacking
- Celtic are unbeaten in 28 games against Aberdeen
- Dundee and St Johnstone are the only teams yet to draw 0-0

It is a new dawn for Rangers following the sacking of Philippe Clement with supporters hoping interim boss Barry Ferguson can lead them to victory at Kilmarnock on Wednesday.

Celtic vs Aberdeen (Tuesday, 8pm)

Celtic have drawn 2-2 at home to Aberdeen in the Premiership this season and also won 1-0 at Pittodrie.

But those fixtures were before Christmas, before the Dons' top-two charge was rocked by a 14-game winless streak.

Jimmy Thelin's men have at least returned to winning ways over the past fortnight, winning 2-1 at Dundee and then beating Kilmarnock 1-0 and they will know Celtic can be beaten – just look at what Hibernian did to the champions on Saturday.

However, there are 28 points between Celtic and Aberdeen – it was goal difference back in the autumn – and the Hoops can avenge that Hibs' loss by winning this tidily enough.

Score prediction: Celtic 2-0 Aberdeen

Dundee United vs Hibernian (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Fourth plays fifth at Tannadice in a contest with real European qualification consequences and there could well be little in this.

Hibs, unbeaten in 13, are the top-flight's draw experts with 10 in total and that includes a 1-1 draw at Easter Road against Dundee United when they visited the capital in November.

Hibs, who have had a player sent off in both meetings with United this season, could well see their tally of draws increase on Wednesday.

Score prediction: Dundee United 1-1 Hibernian

Neil Critchley's Hearts have lost only one of their last 10 games in all competitions.

Hearts vs St Mirren (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

It must be an Edinburgh thing because as impressive as Hibs have been recently, so too have their rivals Hearts, and their good form can continue on Wednesday.

Neil Critchley has done a fantastic job dragging the Jambos off the bottom to seventh, just one place and one point shy of St Mirren, themselves having an excellent campaign and buoyed by their last two road trips, a 3-0 win at Aberdeen and a 2-0 victory at Rangers.

Hearts won 4-0 when the sides met at Tynecastle in October and can record another win.

Score prediction: Hearts 3-1 St Mirren

Motherwell vs Dundee (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

The two most out-of-form teams in the Premiership meet at Fir Park where Motherwell's six-game losing streak can move to seven.

Martin Wimmer's first game in charge of the Steelmen ended in a 1-0 loss at Dundee United, with little evidence that the German was trying anything particularly different.

Dundee have beaten Well twice this season, 1-0 away and 4-1 at home, so look more than capable of landing the hat-trick.

Score prediction: Motherwell 0-1 Dundee

St Johnstone vs Ross County (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Bottom club St Johnstone thought they had arrested their slide with four wins in a row in all competitions, only for back-to-back defeats against Kilmarnock and Hearts to leave them rooted.

They have lost nine of 13 matches at home and since Don Cowie's Ross County are improving and not easy to play against, the visitors get the nod.

Score prediction: St Johnstone 0-1 Ross County

Kilmarnock vs Rangers (Wednesday, 8pm)

If Philippe Clement was the problem, then former Ibrox hero Barry Ferguson can surely motivate the playing staff and get a win at Kilmarnock.

There is plenty of experience in the new coaching trio of Ferguson, Neil McCann and Billy Dodds and sufficient pride in the Gers to get the fans excited.

Take them to kick off their reign with a win.

Score prediction: Kilmarnock 1-2 Rangers
