Lewis Wing inspired Reading to a 3-1 League One away victory over bottom side Shrewsbury as his side broke into the top six.
George Lloyd latched on to a through ball just past the 20th minute but dragged his shot wide.
Reading found the breakthrough just past the half-hour mark as Wing picked the ball up from 30 yards and unleashed a strike which found the back of the net.
Taylor Perry tried his luck from close range just before half-time, but Joel Pereira made a fantastic save to push the ball behind.
Perry found the equaliser, three minutes into the second half. Josh Feeney slipped in the midfielder, who drove into the box and slotted the ball past Pereira.
Reading got back in front just five minutes later through Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, who struck the ball into the top corner from close range.
Aaron Pierre went close past the hour mark, but his deflected effort from inside the area got pushed over.
Chem Campbell netted a third and final goal for the visitors – with under 20 minutes remaining – as he tucked his shot away at the back post.
