Sheffield United to win

Sheffield United will be looking for an instant response from Monday's loss to Leeds when they head to Loftus Road to face QPR in the Championship.

That defeat to the Whites has left the Blades five points behind the table-toppers and just two points clear of Burnley in third.

QPR are sitting safely in 14th position, 14 points clear of the relegation zone and seven off the play-off positions.

These two played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture, with QPR coming from 2-0 down in South Yorkshire to grab a share of the spoils.

QPR are expected to be without the services of Jake Clarke-Salter, Lucas Andersen, Harvey Vale, Rayan Kolli and Zan Celar for this clash due to their ongoing injuries.

Femi Seriki and Oliver Arblaster are both sidelined for the Blades, who could show a few changes from the side that lost to Leeds at Bramall Lane.

Tom Cannon, Kieffer Moore and top-scorer Gustavo Hamer all returned from injury in that loss to the Whites and the trio could be recalled to the starting XI.

The stats

QPR lost 2-1 at Portsmouth on Saturday, making it their fourth defeat from their last six matches.

The Hoops kept a clean sheet in their last home outing, a 4-0 success over Derby, although that was their first shutout at Loftus Road since mid-December.

Sheffield United's four-game winning streak was brought an abrupt halt by Leeds on Monday, the second time the Blades have lost at home in their last four matches.

Chris Wilder's side have won their last four away assignments and boast the best road record in the Championship, collecting 34 points from 17 fixtures.

Prediction

QPR's drop in form over the last month has seen them slip away from the play-off picture and it will take a huge effort from now until the end of the season if they are to finish in the top six.

The Hoops have excelled at home, winning seven of their last eight at Loftus Road, but that fantastic form in West London will be put to the test by United.

Wilder's troops have been brilliant on the road, winning a league-high 10 away contests and his side will be desperate to make up for the damaging defeat to Leeds last time out.

Expect an instant reaction from the Blades and for them to cut down a QPR team that look ill-equipped to fight for a play-off position.
