- Top-five chasing Villa host Europa League finalists Tottenham
- Arsenal entertain third-placed Newcastle in a crunch clash
- Champions Liverpool take a trip to Brighton
Only two games remain in this season’s Premier League and while Liverpool have already been crowned champions and the three relegation places have been filled, there is still plenty on the line in the race to qualify for Europe.
There are 10 matches taking place from Friday until Tuesday, kickstarted by a double-header as Aston Villa entertain Tottenham and Chelsea host Manchester United.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham (Friday, 7.30pm)
Aston Villa have won eight of their last 10 league games to keep their top-five hopes alive and they should be able to overcome Tottenham, who are distracted by next Wednesday’s Europa League final.
Villa have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven league wins and a weakened Spurs side managed only one shot on target in their latest 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace.
Score prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Tottenham
Chelsea vs Manchester United (Friday, 7.30pm)
Like Tottenham, Manchester United could be sidetracked by that Europa League final and they are likely to be outclassed by Chelsea, who have won seven of their last eight league games at Stamford Bridge which includes a 3-1 victory over Liverpool.
Score prediction: Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United
Everton vs Southampton (Sunday, 12.00)
In what is their final Premier League game at Goodison Park, Everton should be fully focused on going out with a bang at home to basement boys Southampton, who have lost 28 of their 36 top-flight matches. That said, the Saints have netted in 11 of their last six league outings.
Score prediction: Everton 2-1 Southampton
West Ham vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 2.15pm)
One win in six has seen Nottingham Forest slip down to seventh in the Premier League and they may be frustrated by West Ham, who have played out score draws in their last three home league games.
Score prediction: West Ham 1-1 Nottingham Forest
Brentford vs Fulham (Sunday, 3pm)
&w=707&quality=100)
Brentford have reeled off four straight victories and they can edge a high-scoring affair with London rivals Fulham, who have suffered defeat in four of their last five away league games.
The Bees have put four past both Brighton and Manchester United in their last two at home.
Score prediction: Brentford 3-2 Fulham
Leicester vs Ipswich (Sunday, 3pm)
A battle between two relegated clubs can go the way of Leicester, who were 2-0 winners in their last home games against bottom club Southampton. The Tractor Boys have won only one of their last 17 top-flight fixtures.
Score prediction: Leicester 2-0 Ipswich
Arsenal vs Newcastle (Sunday, 16.30pm)
Arsenal’s levels have dropped in the Premier League, they have won only three of their last 11 top-flight matches, and they have reason to be feeling vulnerable against Newcastle.
The Magpies are only two points back in third and have won all three meetings this term.
Score prediction: Arsenal 0-2 Newcastle
Brighton vs Liverpool (Monday, 8pm)
Champions Liverpool have taken their foot off the gas and having won two of their last six away league games, may struggle to respond at Brighton.
The Seagulls have seen both teams score in eight of their last 10.
Score prediction: Brighton 2-2 Liverpool
Crystal Palace vs Wolves (Tuesday, 8pm)
Saturday’s FA Cup final with Manchester City could leave Crystal Palace vulnerable three days on at home to Wolves, who had won six league matches in a row before bumping into Manchester City and Brighton.
Score prediction: Crystal Palace 1-2 Wolves
Manchester City vs Bournemouth (Tuesday, 8pm)
This does come only three days on from an FA Cup final showdown with Palace but Bournemouth have won only three of their last 13 league games and look out on their feet.
City, unbeaten in eight league games, should have plenty in reserve.
Score prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Bournemouth
