Plymouth vs Leeds predictions: Both teams can strike in crucial clash

&w=707&quality=100)
- Both teams have scored in seven of Plymouth’s last eight home league games
- Leeds have scored 10 goals across their last two games
- Recommended bet: Both teams to score - Yes
Plymouth face a near impossible task to avoid the drop down to League One and to make matters worse, they face a Leeds side chasing the title in the final round of Championship games on Saturday.
The Pilgrims need to win and hope other results go their way, and they need a 14-goal swing in their favour due to their -36 goal difference.
Leeds’ task is more straightforward. The visitors have a top-two finish guaranteed and if they equal or better Burnley’s result against Millwall, they will be crowned champions, while a victory would see Leeds reach 100 points.
Team news
Brendan Galloway and Matthew Sorinola are unavailable for Plymouth, while on loan forward Michael Obafemi is expected to sit out again ahead of an anticipated move away from parent club Burnley.
Nikola Katic and Julio Pleguezuelo are rated as doubts for the hosts.
Pascal Struijk is a confirmed absentee for Leeds and Joe Rothwell is also expected to miss out, but Dan James is confident of making a return after missing the last two games.
The stats
Plymouth have just one clean sheet in their last 16 games across all competitions.
Argyle have scored 10 goals across their last four home games.
Leeds have scored in seven of their last eight away games.
Both teams have scored in four of Leeds’ last eight games overall.
Prediction
Saturday’s fixture at Home Park is a must-win game for both teams and that could lead to an entertaining affair.
Plymouth do not just need to win, they need a victory by a big margin and an unlikely result elsewhere to go their way, but they should still approach this game in a positive manner.
For Leeds, a win will almost certainly see them crowned champions due to their superior goal difference to Burnley and ultimately the visitors’ greater quality should see them claim all three points.
However, with so much at stake backing Leeds as heavy favourites does not look like the best betting angle and the 19/20 on both teams to score may be the best approach.
Plymouth have no option but to go all out from the off and they have been in excellent scoring form. Argyle have scored at least twice in each of their last four home games and they have scored in seven of their last nine games overall.
Leeds have the best attack in the division with 93 goals scored, but their defence has been vulnerable on the road. The Yorkshire club have shipped 17 goals in 22 away games and have conceded in four of their last six trips, so Plymouth can at the very least get on the scoresheet as they attempt an improbable final-day survival bid.
