Plymouth Argyle vs Sheffield United predictions: Blades to get back on track

&w=707&quality=100)
- Plymouth are rock-bottom in the Championship, five points from safety
- Back-to-back losses have left Sheffield United third, just outside the automatic-promotion spots
- Recommended bet: Sheffield United to win to nil
There is a mammoth top-vs-bottom clash in the Championship to enjoy on Saturday, with third-placed Sheffield United and rock-bottom Plymouth Argyle having plenty to play for at Home Park.
The Blades are embroiled in a thrilling three-way race for the automatic promotion spots but have fallen behind their rivals, Leeds and Burnley, due to back-to-back losses.
Chris Wilder will be eager to bounce back from those dreadful few days and he has a great opportunity to do so, facing a Plymouth side who are staring down the barrel at relegation.
Team news
Plymouth’s current issues cannot be attributed to an injury crisis, with Maksym Talovierov and Brendan Galloway their only absentees.
There are a few more injuries in the Sheffield United camp, with Ollie Arblaster, Harry Clarke, Tom Davies, Rhys Norrington-Davies and Sai Sachdev sidelined, but, like their hosts, there are no fresh concerns.
The stats
Plymouth have lost five of their last eight games.
Argyle failed to score in any of their four previous matches against the Championship’s top three, losing those clashes by an aggregate 15-0 scoreline.
Sheffield United have won eight of their last 12 matches.
Three of the Blades’ last five away games saw them win without conceding.
The reverse fixture finished 2-0 in Sheffield United's favour.

Prediction
Given they went into last weekend’s round of fixtures sitting top of the table, Sheffield United will be feeling hurt after suffering back-to-back losses and slipping to third in the standings.
However, despite those disappointing defeats to Oxford and Millwall, the Blades have not lost too much ground in the promotion race and have a great opportunity to bounce back to winning ways at Home Park.
Their hosts, Plymouth, have endured a miserable season - the FA Cup giant-killing of Liverpool aside - and find themselves propping up the table with just five games remaining to pull off a great escape.
The Pilgrims are quite unpredictable, beating Norwich 2-1 and being crushed 3-0 by Swansea in the past seven days alone, but one constant has been their dreadful record against the division’s top sides.
Argyle’s previous four games against the Championship’s top three have seen them lose by an aggregate score of 15-0 and Sheffield United, whose 2-0 reverse-fixture victory is included in that statistic, can bounce back with ease here.
The Blades have won three of their last five away games without conceding and they can secure a comfortable victory in Devon to get their promotion push back on track.
