Usyk vs Dubois: Heavyweight Clash Preview, Fight Time & What to Expect This Weekend

Two years on from their first showdown in Poland, Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois meet again in a high-stakes rematch at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, 19th July.
The undisputed heavyweight championship is on the line, and ahead of the match, we have taken a look back at the first meeting between the two rivals and what could happen on Saturday.
Rewind: Usyk vs Dubois 2023
In 2023, Usyk retained his unified WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring titles in August with a ninth-round stoppage victory against Saturday’s opponent, Dubois. However, the fight was surrounded by controversy, as many believed the British underdog was robbed of a victory.
The referee ruled a fifth-round body shot that sent his opponent to the canvas a low blow, permitting Usyk almost four minutes to recover.
The Ukrainian went on to regather himself to secure knockdowns in rounds eight and nine before the match was concluded. Dubois and his camp launched an appeal that was rejected to have the fight ruled a no-contest with an immediate rematch.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 Preview
An undefeated, two-time undisputed champion, Usyk made the challenge of Tyson Fury look easy in his last fight. He has dismissed Anthony Joshua, and opponent Dubois once already and is going for another win to add to his perfect record.
Dubois has recovered since his defeat to Usyk and beat Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua in his last fight before this rematch.
This time on home turf, Dubois will be looking for what he believes should have been his victory last time out. In excellent form and highly motivated, will we see the Brit take home all four heavyweight belts and walk away as the undisputed heavyweight champion?
