Oldham snapped a three-game losing run and consolidated fourth spot in the National League with a 2-1 win against Hartlepool.
The home side dominated the opening exchanges with Vimal Yoganathan firing over, Tom Conlon sending a free header wide and Charlie Raglan having an effort cleared off the line.
But it was Hartlepool who took the lead in the 39th minute when Gary Madine’s shot was saved, the loose ball was turned back in by Luke Charman and Mani Dieseruvwe converted from close range.
The visitors’ joy was short-lived, however, as Raglan equalised with a header from a Conlon corner just over a minute later.
Striker Mike Fondop, who had a forgettable spell with Hartlepool, nodded in the winner for Oldham after 63 minutes.
