Notts County draw with Bromley
Jodi Jones’ second-half penalty was cancelled out by the brilliance of Cameron Congreve as Bromley came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Notts County at Meadow Lane.
Jones started for the first time since October and nearly found the net in spectacular fashion, but his 35-yard curled effort was tipped onto the bar by Grant Smith.
Bromley responded swiftly with an opportunity from range of their own via the left foot of Idris Odutayo, but the effort was well stopped by Alex Bass.
David McGoldrick was felled inside the penalty area shortly after half-time and Jones blasted beyond Smith from 12 yards.
McGoldrick had the chance to double County’s lead as Alassana Jatta cut the ball back to his strike partner, but the Irishman’s low effort was blocked by Omar Sowunmi.
Bromley found their equaliser in the 79th minute. Excellent trickery from Congreve saw an opening emerge for the midfielder and his eventual strike cannoned in off the post.
