West Bromwich Albion to win

Norwich will be looking to end their season in style after their play-off hopes all but disappeared in a four-game winless run before the international break.

The Canaries are now eight points behind sixth-placed West Brom, who cannot afford any slip-ups themselves in a fascinating scrap for the last two play-off places.

Team news

Norwich boss Johannes Thorup will welcome back first-choice keeper Angus Gunn, who has recovered from a hamstring strain.

West Brom boss Tony Mowbray hopes that left-back Callum Styles is fit after not travelling with Hungary because of a knock.

Darnell Furlong sits out the last game of a three-match ban, so Mowbray's back three will be unchanged. Striker Adam Armstrong will lead the line.

The stats

Norwich are 13th in the table yet are the Championship's second top-scorers with 60 goals. Only Leeds (76) have scored more. They have conceded 54 goals, only six clubs have shipped more.

Borja Sainz is the top Championship scorer with 17 goals and has scored in each of his last two matches.

West Brom are unbeaten in six matches, four of which have ended in 1-1 scorelines. They have been involved in seven 1-1 draws since Christmas and top the division's draw charts with 18 in total.

None of their last seven matches has produced more than two goals.

Prediction

Norwich are all but out of the promotion frame following a disappointing quartet of fixtures going into the international break.

To resurrect any lingering notion that they can bridge an eight-point gap to the top six and still be a contender, they simply have to beat West Brom, and that might just be beyond them.

Just one clean sheet since New Year's Day tells you everything you need to know about what aspect of Norwich's game is going to cost them this year.

And the Baggies, playing with far more of a zip since Mowbray returned to The Hawthorns in January, have enough attacking zeal to win this.

West Brom emerged unbeaten from a seven-game run to the break, which included trips to both Leeds and Burnley and are better for having a proven international marksman in their ranks in Armstrong.

They are creating far more chances under Mowbray than prior to his arrival, boast a defensive record bettered only by the top three and are improving game on game. They look the value here at 21/10 with LiveScoreBet.
