Manchester United vs Arsenal predictions: Gunners to punish threadbare hosts

&w=707&quality=100)
- Arsenal have scored at least twice in four of their last seven games
- Manchester United are without a clean sheet in seven matches
- Recommended bet: Over 1.5 Arsenal goals
Any concerns about Arsenal's inability to score at the moment dissipated following their 7-1 hammering of PSV on Tuesday as the Gunners set the record for the most goals scored in an away knockout match in the Champions League.
PSV's defending was abject at times but Arsenal nonetheless impressed going forwards despite the continued absences of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.
And Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can carry the confidence they showed in that contest into their clash with Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Red Devils continue to struggle across the board, having been knocked out of the FA Cup by Fulham on Sunday before a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad on Thursday.
Team news
Ruben Amorim must contend with a long list of absentees, including Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount and Patrick Dorgu.
Harry Maguire is also fighting to be fit but United ultimately have a threadbare squad at the moment.
Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz remain out, limiting Arsenal's options up front, while Takehiro Tomiyasu is also sidelined.
The stats
Arsenal have netted 14 goals in their six matches since the start of February and they have netted at least two goals in four of their last seven assignments.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have conceded in 20 of their 27 league games this season, leaking 39 goals.
The Red Devils have also won just one of their last five matches in all competitions, edging relegation-threatened Ipswich 3-2 at home last month.
The Gunners have lost just one of their last 17 matches in the Premier League, beating Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City as part of that run.

Prediction
Arsenal sent out a statement with their 7-1 demolition of PSV and there is every chance they can rack up the goals against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Arteta's side will be slightly fresher given they played two days before United's 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad and fatigue will be worse for the Red Devils given Amorim cannot rotate a lot at the moment.
A bench featuring youngsters such as Harry Amass, Elyh Harrison, Dermot Mee and Ayden Heaven on Thursday demonstrated just how threadbare United's squad is right now.
And they could struggle to cope with Arsenal's attacking intensity.
The Gunners have fallen off the pace in the Premier League title race but it was only last month that they humiliated Manchester City 5-1 with only one of the goalscorers in that game currently sidelined.
They have scored at least twice in four of their last seven assignments and won the previous league meeting with United 2-0 back in December, so they are worth backing to score over 1.5 goals.
