Lorent Tolaj’s late equaliser denied manager of the month Ian Holloway his fifth Swindon win on the trot as Port Vale snatched a 3-3 draw at the County Ground.

Port Vale made the early running and Jack Bycroft had to react well to thwart Jayden Stockley’s firm near-post header from a corner.

But when Nathan Smith shoved over Nnamdi Ofoborh in the box after 20 minutes Will Wright coolly stuck away the resulting penalty.

Jaheim Headley equalised in the 31st minute at the near post after being found by Stockley.

Tolaj got his first with a neat header from Ryan Croasdale‘s cross to put Vale ahead.

But just before the break Aaron Drinan seized on dithering at the back and Danny Butterworth blasted his cut-back into the far corner.

The second half was a drab affair before Joel Cotterill received the ball outside the box and arrowed a shot into the top corner in the 63rd minute.

Tolaj levelled with three minutes left by battering a loose ball into the roof of the net.

Team-mate Connor Hall looked certain the get the winner but fired tamely at Bycroft.
