- Crystal Palace won their first major trophy last week when lifting the FA Cup
- Recommended bet: Liverpool to win and both teams to score
Liverpool will be aiming to end their title-winning season in style with an entertaining home victory over Crystal Palace.
It should be party time at Anfield once again as the champions host the Eagles, who are also in celebratory mood following their FA Cup triumph at Wembley last weekend.
Team news
Joe Gomez was back on the bench for the defeat at Brighton and could feature at some point for the home side following his lengthy absence with a hamstring injury but Alexis Mac Allister has been ruled out.
Arne Slot is set to field a strong a side with Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson, who were left on the bench for Monday's defeat at Brighton, expected to return.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, however, is unlikely to appear after his recent announcement that he is leaving the club this summer.
For Palace, Marc Guehi will be assessed and could be available for the Anfield trip but Adam Wharton and Cheick Doucoure have both been ruled out.
Wembley match-winner Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta both dropped to the bench for the midweek win over Wolves but are in line for recalls, although Eddie Nketiah scored a brace on Tuesday and will be hoping to keep his place in the side.
The stats
&w=707&quality=100)
Liverpool have lost just once at home all season — 1-0 to Nottingham Forest back in September.
The Reds have only dropped points in three other home matches in the top flight when drawing with Fulham, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Liverpool won the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park 1-0 but Palace did beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield in the league last season.
Since winning the league, the Reds have conceded eight goals.
Both teams have scored in Liverpool's last four games.
Palace have scored 13 goals in their last six matches.
The Eagles are on a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Prediction
Liverpool were the most consistent team in the Premier League this season by some margin, and their superiority was finally confirmed at the end of April when they hammered Tottenham at Anfield to seal the title.
Since being crowned, however, the Reds have stepped off the gas considerably and have not won in their three subsequent outings, going down 3-1 at Chelsea and 3-2 at Brighton, while drawing 2-2 with Arsenal at home in between.
With the trophy set to be presented after Sunday's clash with the Eagles, though, Slot's side surely must end on a high with victory in front of their celebrating fans.
Palace have had a fine season, too, capped off by last weekend's wonderful FA Cup triumph at Wembley and they still have a chance of a top-half finish this term.
The visitors, who beat Wolves 4-2 on Tuesday to show little sign of being distracted after their cup glory, can play a big part in what should be a memorable occasion on Merseyside on Sunday.
Oliver Glasner's side are unlikely to be full party-poopers on the day, but they can at least score in defeat in what is set to be a very open game.
