Leeds vs Swansea predictions: Swans set to trouble wobbling Whites

&w=707&quality=100)
- Leeds' run of one win in four has left their position at the top of the Championship looking precarious
- Swansea are just six points clear of the relegation zone
- Recommended bet: Both teams to score
The first international break of 2025 could not have come at a better time for Leeds as, while they are still top of the Championship ahead of this round of fixtures, they may not be for long.
The Whites managed just five points from the last 12 available, allowing Sheffield United and Burnley to ramp up the pressure as the race for promotion reaches its climax once again.
Leeds will be looking to bounce back against Swansea on Saturday, but the Swans are not safe from danger just yet, sitting 16th and only six points clear of the relegation zone, and they are unlikely to go down without a fight at Elland Road.
Team news
Maximilian Wober is Leeds' only certain absentee. However, Willy Gnonto picked up an ankle injury while away with Italy's under-21s and could miss out alongside Patrick Bamford and Ethan Ampadu, who are both back in training but not guaranteed to be fit in time to feature.
Long-term absentees Kristian Pedersen and Myles Peart-Harris remain out for the Swans, who will be hoping Harry Darling will recover in time to play a part.

The stats
The reverse fixture was a seven-goal thriller, finishing 4-3 in Leeds' favour, but confidence may be low in Leeds' camp after their drop in form.
Swansea have beaten top-half sides Middlesbrough and Blackburn in the past few weeks, while both teams have scored in four of the Whites' last six games.
After conceding just two goals in their previous 11 home games, Leeds have conceded four in four at Elland Road.
Prediction
After their side's implosion last season, Leeds fans will be fearing the worst following dropped points against West Brom, Portsmouth and then QPR.
Those poor results, draws with West Brom and QPR and a defeat to Portsmouth, have allowed Sheffield United to go level on points with the Whites, who could be three behind the Blades by the time they kick off on Saturday, with their title rivals facing Coventry on Friday.
On paper, a clash against 16th-placed Swansea should not cause Daniel Farke's star-studded squad too many issues. However, they would have thought that ahead of the reverse fixture and they needed a 91st-minute Gnonto winner to secure all three points that day, with the Swans running Leeds close in a 4-3 thriller.
Alan Sheehan's side have their own battle to contend with, too, sitting precariously close to the drop zone and they may look to take the game to an unsettled Leeds at Elland Road.
Both teams have scored in four of the Whites' last six matches and the Swans can contribute to another thriller and possibly the falling apart of Leeds, again.
