Leeds have the small matter of the Championship title still to play for but they can go into their final two games in relaxed mood, having achieved the primary goal of securing their promotion back to the Premier League.

Bristol City go into the penultimate round of fixtures currently in the driving seat to secure one of the two remaining play-off places still up for grabs but they still have work to do to stave off the threats from the chasing pack.

Team news

Leeds will be without Pascal Struijk and Joe Rothwell for the visit of Bristol City, while Dan James was left out of the squad that thrashed Stoke after feeling discomfort from when making his comeback against Oxford.

Harry Gray replaced the Wales international on the bench against the Potters and made his debut for the club in a very late cameo. He may hope for more involvement while Daniel Farke may rotate anyway given promotion is secured, although much may depend on Burnley's result on Saturday with the title at stake.

With Ayman Benarous, Luke McNally and Mark Sykes sidelined, Bristol City will not want to have seen Cam Pring forced off against Luton with a hamstring problem and he is an obvious doubt to face Leeds.

Liam Manning may opt to make changes given the performance at Loftus Road, although the Robins' play-off destiny remains in their hands as their nearest challengers for fifth place also slipped up.

The stats

Leeds easily have the best home record in the Championship, having won 17 of their 22 games at Elland Road, drawing four and losing just one to collect 55 points.

Farke's men have also banged in 57 home league goals, nine more than the next highest home scorers Norwich (48), while they have conceded only 12.

Bristol City have won only four of their 22 Championship away games this season, although they have also drawn 10, while losing eight. The Robins have scored only 23 goals while conceding 31 on the road.

Leeds thrashed Stoke 6-0 on Monday to extend their winning streak to four games and their unbeaten run to eight, since last losing at Portsmouth in March.

Manning's men saw a four-game unbeaten run come to an end in a 3-1 loss at struggling Luton on Monday, although they have lost only three of their last 17 games.

These two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Ashton Gate in October, a result that ended a run of six successive wins for Leeds in the head to head. The Robins last beat Leeds in 2016, their only win in any of the last 19 meetings.

Prediction

While Leeds have already secured promotion, the fact that there is still the title to play for is not good news for Bristol City, particularly given that their road form is not nearly as good as their Ashton Gate performances and they next travel to fortress Elland Road where Leeds have won 17 of 22 games while scoring a whopping 57 goals.

It is not hard to see why Leeds are strong favourites to take one more big step to title glory, although more value can be gained by going for another fast start from Farke's men.

The Whites are enjoying a four-match winning run in which they have scored 10 goals, nine of which have come before the break which includes five of the six they scored against the Potters last time out.

The Robins have been slow out of the blocks of late, trailing Luton at the break on Monday in what ended as a 3-1 defeat, while they were 1-0 down to Sunderland at the interval beforehand, despite the Black Cats being reduced to 10 men after just seven minutes.

Manning's men would ultimately win that game but they have conceded first in all four of their last away trips, which includes a first-half goal for Burnley at Turf Moor that they were unable to overturn, and now go to a rampant Leeds at Elland Road.
