Braintree shredded the Vanarama National League form book as they saw off promotion challengers Forest Green 2-0 at Cressing Road.
It was a priceless three points for the Essex club as they gave themselves some breathing space above the relegation zone.
Braintree stunned their high-flying opponents with a goal after just 10 minutes as Kyrell Lisbie put the Irons ahead.
And it got even better for the home side 13 minutes before half-time when Tom Blackwell scored an outstanding second, giving the visitors a mountain to climb.
An out-of-sorts Rovers could find no way back, though, and Braintree were good value for the win.
