Kylian Mbappe says scoring goals is in his nature after the Frenchman bagged a brace against Real Sociedad in the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain travelled to Spain 1-0 up on aggregate after the first leg in the last-16 and the soon-to-be free agent wasted no time in putting his side in the driving seat, opening the scoring after 15 minutes.

He was at it again in the second half, doubling PSG's lead and putting matters to bed despite a late consolation goal from Sociedad.

He said: "[Scoring goals] is what I do. It's what I like to do and what I can do.

"My job is to help the team, to score goals, to help offensively and defensively and today I did a nice job.

"We are really happy with the result and with the qualification.

"We wanted to go to the quarter-finals and we played a nice game, it was tough because it is never easy to come and win an away game.

"But it's what we did and now we are ready for the next one."

Mbappe may have had a closer look at one of his potential opponents next season as rumours about a move to Real Madrid continue to ramp up.

The 25-year-old has reportedly agreed to join Los Blancos for free in the summer when his contract in Paris expires but his mind seems to be on trying to win the Champions League before he departs.

Mbappe is the competition's joint-top scorer this season with six goals and only Bayern Munich's Harry Kane has been able to match him.

The 75-cap international is yet to win the biggest prize in Europe but could be on course to steer his hometown club towards the coveted prize this season.
