Jacob Hazel’s brace gave Boston’s National League survival hopes a boost with a 2-1 win at fellow strugglers AFC Fylde.
The 23rd-placed Pilgrims roared ahead against the side 22nd in the standings thanks to Hazel’s goals in the 14th and 25th minute.
Nick Haughton pulled one back for Fylde from the spot just before half-time, but Boston held out for a win that moved them to within seven points of safety.
