&w=707&quality=100)
- Last weekend’s win over Manchester City leaves Nottingham Forest in third
- Ipswich are in 18th position, six points from safety
- Recommended Bet: Nottingham Forest to win
Nottingham Forest got back to winning ways last week after a run of five games across all competitions without a win in 90 minutes and must now turn their attention to improving their away record when they head to Ipswich on Saturday.
Ipswich are without a Premier League win in nine games, of which they have lost seven and if they do not start picking up points very soon they will find themselves totally adrift of 17th-placed Wolves.
Team news
Arijanet Muric, Axel Tuanzebe, Sammie Szmodics, Chiedozie Ogbene, Wes Burns and Conor Chaplin are all unavailable for Ipswich because of injury.
Injured reserve goalkeeper Carlos Miguel is the only player missing for Forest.
The stats
&w=707&quality=100)
Forest’s 1-0 win against Manchester City last weekend leaves them in third position, four points clear of the reigning Premier League champions.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have lost each of their last three away games in the top flight.
Ipswich have lost all four of their home league games in 2025, with Brighton, Manchester City, Southampton and Tottenham all beating them.
These sides met in the FA Cup at the start of March, with Forest winning on penalties at the City Ground after a 1-1 draw.
Prediction
This looks like the perfect opportunity for Forest to turn around their poor away form, with their last Premier League victory on the road coming back in January against Wolves.
The Tricky Trees have drawn 0-0 with Arsenal and beaten Manchester City 1-0 at the City Ground in recent weeks and if they can also start to pick up away points, a place in the top four and Champions League qualification would seem a certainty.
Time is running out for Ipswich to start collecting points themselves, with the defeat at Palace last time out being their third straight loss in the top flight.
Kieran McKenna’s team are often competitive, with three of their last four defeats coming by a one-goal margin, but they cannot afford for the gap between them and Wolves to get bigger, before they meet in a relegation showdown in April.
Ipswich may well make life tough for Forest, but the visitors have the extra quality and should claim an important win.
