Inter Milan vs Barcelona predictions: Blaugrana to assert dominance at the San Siro

&w=707&quality=100)
- Barcelona have won nine of their last 10 competitive away games
- Inter Milan only had three shots on target in the first leg
- Recommended bet: Barcelona to win
Barcelona and Inter Milan served up a six-goal thriller in Spain last week, and now the two Champions League hopefuls reconvene at the San Siro to settle the scores in this UEFA Champions League semi-final.
Barcelona, on the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple, are favourites for the win against an Inter Milan side that have endured some struggles in recent weeks.
Team news
Lautaro Martinez was forced off in last week’s draw in Barcelona and is not expected to recover in time to start at the San Siro, although he may make the bench for Inter Milan, while Benjamin Pavard remains sidelined.
Barcelona’s own star striker, Robert Lewandowski, is also unlikely to be fit enough to feature from the start. He joins Marc Casado, Jules Kounde, and Marc Bernal on the injury list, although Alejandro Balde could return.

The stats
Inter Milan have only won one of their last six matches.
Barcelona have won 23 of their last 30 competitive games, losing only once.
Barcelona won the shot count 19-7 in the first leg. The Nerazzurri have only won two of their 13 meetings with Barcelona
Prediction
Inter Milan may feel like they missed an opportunity in Barcelona last week after letting a lead slip through their fingers twice, but, in general, the Spaniards were the far superior side in that contest, and their quality could show at the San Siro on Tuesday.
The Blaugrana outshot their opponents 19-7 in the first leg, having nine attempts on target compared to Inter Milan’s three, and registered over 70 per cent possession. Their comeback win at Real Valladolid on Saturday made it nine victories from their last 10 competitive away games, and they should have plenty of confidence as they head to a struggling home side.
The Nerazzurri, who, like Barcelona, made a host of changes at the weekend, did get a win over Verona, but that was their first victory in six assignments, and they have lost to nil against Bologna, AC Milan and Roma in this period.
The Italians have only beaten Hansi Flick’s side in two of their 13 competitive meetings, and, with Barca winning 23 of their last 30 competitive games and losing just once in that run, the quadruple hopefuls could triumph again in Milan.
