Hull City vs Luton Town predictions: Home comforts to aid Tigers

&w=707&quality=100)
- Hull are unbeaten in four matches
- Luton have won only twice away from home
- Recommended bet: Hull to win
Hull City helped their survival hopes by taking eight points from their four games before the international break, including beating both Plymouth and Oxford at home.
They are 19th in the table and next take on Luton Town, who sit 23rd but who have only lost one of their last four, including winning their last away trip, a 2-1 victory at Cardiff City.
Matt Bloomfield is still getting to grips with the size of the Hatters' job after moving from Wycombe in January.
That victory at Cardiff was only Town's second away from home all season and the Tigers could prove too good.
Team news
Hull will again be without striker Joao Pedro, who continues his suspension after being sent off in the 1-1 draw at Bristol City.
Cody Drameh and Louie Barry are also absent, while Luton have several players out, with Tahith Chong and Teden Mengi among a group of players expected to return next month.
The stats
Hull's four home wins is the fewest in the Championship, but they have won their last two outings at the MKM Stadium.
Meanwhile, Luton have triumphed only twice on the road, doubling their tally with their recent victory at Cardiff.
The Hatters won November's reverse fixture 1-0 and that is part of a run of six of the last seven meetings featuring a 'no' in the Both Teams to Score market.
Prediction
Ruben Selles welcomed his Hull team back into training on Monday by urging his squad to do all they can over the next eight games to secure their Championship status.
The Tigers sacked Liam Rosenior after missing out on the play-offs in 2023-24 and Selles has helped them improve after a tough start to the season under Tim Walter.
Luton have also made a managerial change, with Bloomfield picking up the pieces after Rob Edwards, who worked wonders at Kenilworth Road, failed to halt their downward spiral after their relegation from the Premier League.
They currently sit four points from safety and the boss will have been looking to further imprint his ideas on the side, but Selles looks a step ahead.
The Tigers' wins over Plymouth and Oxford displayed their penchant for picking up points from the teams around them and they can do the same again with another victory on Saturday.
