Wyndham Championship predictions: Hojgaard can clinch North Carolina spoils

Recommended bets:
This week's Wyndham Championship provides the final chance to finish in the top 70 of the FedEx Cup standings and qualify for the first play-off event of the PGA Tour season.
USA Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley has been installed as the 20/1 favourite with LiveScore Bet to claim the spoils and boost his chances of automatically qualifying for the team he will be in charge of at Bethpage Black in September.
England's Matt Fitzpatrick, who will be eager to be part of the European side that will be defending the trophy in New York, is priced at 22/1, just ahead of 25/1 shots Ben Griffin and Hideki Matsuyama.

Hojgaard to surge up FedEx standings
Sitting 71st in the FedEx Cup standings, Nicolai Hojgaard is on the wrong side of the bubble but he can catapult himself up the rankings by earning his first PGA Tour title.
The 24-year-old Dane, whose last victory came at the 2023 DP World Tour Championship, has endured a disappointing campaign on the US circuit but he has managed to find some form of late.
Hojgaard registered a top-25 finish at the Rocket Classic before finishing tied-fourth at the Scottish Open and then sharing 14th place at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.
A particularly pleasing aspect over those performances was the approach play of the world number 88, who is 13th in strokes gained in that category on the PGA Tour this season, and any improvement in driving accuracy this week should see him contend.

Kohles to make PGA breakthrough
A four-time Korn Ferry Tour winner, Ben Kohles has failed to make his breakthrough at this level but he looks to be a lively outsider this week and is worth an each-way play.
The 35-year-old American is third in both driving accuracy and greens in regulation, evidence of his strong tee-to-green game, and a cold putter has been the only thing holding him back.
If the flat stick starts to warm up for Kohles, just like it did for last year's winner Aaron Rai who is superb from tee to green, then a first PGA title could be in the offing.

Svensson to start hot in North Carolina
Adam Svensson made a blistering start to last week's 3M Open, carding nine birdies and an eagle in a bogey-free, 11-under-par 60 to move into an early lead on day one.
The Canadian was unable to maintain those levels, eventually settling for a share of 14th position, but that was his best result of the season and that should give him a confidence boost.
Svensson shot a 65 on Sunday, a score bettered by just three players, and he will be eager to keep the momentum going on day one of the Wyndham Championship.
The 31-year-old was just one off the pace after day one in 2023 and it would be no surprise to see him challenging early on this year.
