Nottingham Forest have 14 games to go in their bid to cap off a dream Premier League season with a top-four finish and they should be full of confidence for Saturday’s trip to Fulham.

Forest have lost only one of their last 10 league games and they find themselves sitting third, six points above fifth-placed Manchester City, ahead of the visit to Craven Cottage.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were emphatic 7-0 winners in their last Premier League game at home to Brighton and they have the second-best away record in the top flight, collecting 23 points from 12 road outings.

Fulham are also enjoying a successful season and will be looking to build upon their ninth-placed position, although they have gone five league matches without a win at Craven Cottage.

Team news

Fulham remain without the services of Harry Wilson, Kenny Tete and Reiss Nelson but Brazilian winger Willian should be involved having re-signed for the club on a deal until the end of the season.

Taiwo Awoniyi was taken off injured in Forest’s FA Cup win at Exeter on Tuesday and is ruled out, joining substitute goalkeeper Carlos Miguel on the sidelines.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has missed Forest’s last three matches through injury but is expected to return and Murillo should be fit despite being absent from the squad against Exeter.

The stats

Fulham have failed to win any of their last five home league games, losing 1-0 to Manchester United most recently.

The Cottagers' only two clean sheets in their last 13 league games have come against bottom club Southampton and 18th-placed Leicester.

Nottingham Forest have lost only one of their last 10 league matches, winning four of their last five on the road.

Forest have kept five clean sheets in their last nine league games and both teams have scored in only one of their last five away outings.

Fulham have won four of the last five league meetings between the sides.

Prediction

Nottingham Forest put in a rare below-par performance in a 5-0 beating at Bournemouth in their last Premier League away game, but a 7-0 thrashing of Brighton subsequently was the perfect response.

The Tricky Trees had won four straight away league games prior to that setback on the south coast and they look a big price to see off Fulham, who have failed to win any of their last five at home.

The Cottagers have been held to draws by struggling duo Southampton and Ipswich in that run, while also limping to a 1-0 loss against Manchester United, when they registered only three shots on target.

So a full-strength Forest, who have the second best away record in the Premier League and find themselves in third after 24 matches, may also have their measure.

Disciplined defensively with pace on the counter-attack and a free-scoring forward in Chris Wood, Forest look well-equipped to leave the capital clutching maximum points.
