Fulham vs Tottenham predictions: Spurs can build on midweek success

&w=707&quality=100)
- Tottenham have taken 10 points from their last five Premier League games
- Fulham have won only one of their last seven home league fixtures
- Recommended bet: Tottenham draw no bet
Fulham slipped to 10th place in the Premier League after last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Brighton but they are approaching the final 10 games, starting with a London derby against Tottenham at Craven Cottage on Sunday, with lots to play for.
The Cottagers are five points adrift of fifth place which may well be enough to secure Champions League qualification.
And they will be targeting a maximum return against Spurs, who are eight points worse off and heading for a bottom-half finish for the first time since the 2007-08 campaign.
Tottenham have gone through a turbulent campaign but there is some light at the end of the tunnel after their 3-2 aggregate success over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday night.
Team news
Fulham’s Adama Traore (ankle) was unavailable for last Saturday’s trip to Brighton and faces a late fitness test.
Reiss Nelson (thigh), Harry Wilson (ankle) and Kenny Tete (knee) are definite absentees for the Cottagers, while Sasa Lukic completes a two-game ban as a consequence of totting up 10 yellow cards.
Rodrigo Bentancur is set to return for Spurs after being suspended for Thursday’s 3-1 success at home to AZ Alkmaar.
Micky van de Ven lasted for 60 minutes against AZ and may not be risked for a second start in four days.
Radu Dragusin (ankle) is out long-term and Dejan Kulusevski (ankle), Richarlison (calf) and Kevin Danso (thigh) will not be seen until after the international break.

The stats
Each of Fulham’s last four wins have been by a 2-1 scoreline.
Six of Fulham’s last seven games have featured goals for both teams.
The Cottagers have started the scoring in five of their last six fixtures.
Tottenham have lost only one of their last five Premier League matches.
Six of Tottenham’s last eight away games have featured at least three goals.
Prediction
Tottenham’s season is going to be judged on how far they progress in the Europa League, but they have been picking up points on a more regular basis in the Premier League of late and look overpriced to defeat Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The mood in the Spurs camp should be buoyant after they kept their trophy hopes alive with a strong performance in Thursday’s 3-1 victory at home to AZ Alkmaar.
Ange Postecoglou may decide to rest a few of the midweek starters but his squad is looking healthier and there are some decent players waiting in the wings, including midfielder Bentancur, who should be raring to go after serving a one-match Europa League suspension.
Fulham have more riding on the game as they continue their quest for European qualification.
But the Cottagers have registered only one home league win in 2025 and could be edged aside by Spurs, who are better than their league position (13th going into the weekend) suggests.
