Fulham boss Marco Silva will hope his side can make life difficult for Everton this weekend
Fulham boss Marco Silva will hope his side can make life difficult for Everton this weekend

- Marco Silva's Fulham are targeting a second Premier League top-half finish in three seasons
- Everton let slip a 2-0 lead to draw with relegated Ipswich at Goodison Park last weekend
- Recommended bet: Alex Iwobi anytime goalscorer

Fulham ended Liverpool's 26-game unbeaten run with a 3-2 Premier League victory at Craven Cottage last month and they are aiming to complete a quickfire Merseyside double this weekend.

Marco Silva's Cottagers are inconsistent, winning seven and losing eight of their last 15 league matches, but they are favourites to beat Everton on Saturday.

The Toffees surged clear of the relegation zone after David Moyes's return to the club, but they have won only one of their last 10 league games.

Team news

Fulham are missing striker Rodrigo Muniz, midfielder Harrison Reed and Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson due to injury. Emile Smith Rowe is pushing for a recall to the starting lineup.

Everton centre-back James Tarkowski is sidelined along with Orel Mangala and Jesper Lindstrom. Abdoulaye Doucoure should return after missing last weekend's draw with Ipswich.

The stats

Fulham have lost five of their last seven matches in all competitions. Seven of the Cottagers' last 10 home games have featured over 2.5 goals

Fulham have kept only two clean sheets in 17 Premier League home games this season.

Everton have drawn 15 of their last 31 league matches.

Four of the Toffees' last nine games have ended 1-1, while Everton have scored only 12 goals in 17 Premier League away fixtures this term.

Prediction

Fulham conceded two late goals to lose 2-1 against Chelsea in their most recent Premier League home fixture but they had beaten Tottenham and Liverpool in their previous outings at Craven Cottage.

Seeing off a resilient Everton side who have drawn 15 league matches this season will not be easy for the Cottagers, who kick off the weekend just two points behind eighth-placed Bournemouth.

The Toffees have achieved their primary objective of top-flight survival, but they will want to end their final season at Goodison Park on a high.

The absence of key centre-back Tarkowski means they are weaker in defence and they blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with relegated Ipswich at Goodison last weekend.

David Moyes's men pose a limited attacking threat away from home, losing 1-0 at Liverpool and Chelsea and pinching a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest in their last three road fixtures.

While Fulham look short enough in the match betting, winger Alex Iwobi is an eye-catching price to score at any time.

The former Everton man gave the Cottagers an early lead against Chelsea and six of his nine league goals this season have come at home.

Only top scorer Raul Jimenez averages more shots per game for Fulham than Iwobi's 1.8 and the Nigeria international scored in last month's win over champions Liverpool and in October's 1-1 draw at Everton.
