Arsenal look determined to make runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool fight all the way for the title and Mikel Arteta’s side will fancy their chances of gaining three more points at Fulham on Sunday.

The Cottagers have beaten Leicester, Newcastle, Brentford and Brighton at Craven Cottage this season and there are usually plenty of goals in their home matches, so we should be in for an entertaining spectacle.

Team news

Fulham’s Reiss Nelson cannot play against his parent club and, while Sasa Lukic is available after serving a one-man ban, Tom Cairney is still suspended after his recent red card against Tottenham.

Manager Marco Silva will also be without the injured Harrison Reed and Joachim Andersen, but Ryan Sessegnon and Jorge Cuenca could be on the bench.

Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel could be recalled to the Arsenal starting line-up after missing Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Manchester United and Leandro Trossard may also start, having been used as a 20-minute substitute in midweek.

Defenders Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are, however, due to miss out.

There have been at least four goals in six of Fulham’s last 10 home league games and both teams have scored in nine of the last ten Premier League matches at Craven Cottage.

Arsenal have scored 15 goals in their last four matches and the Gunners have failed to score in just three of their last 18 league games on the road.

The Cottagers have scored in 13 of their 14 league games this term, while Arsenal have won their last four games.

Prediction

Arsenal have been full of goals in the last couple of weeks both in the Premier League and the Champions League and they should be relishing another London derby after they won 5-2 in their last away game at West Ham.

The Gunners can ill-afford to take things easy at Craven Cottage due to the size of the gap that separates them from league leaders Liverpool and they can be expected to go on the front foot.

Their hosts, who are likely to contain former Gunners Bernd Leno, Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe in their starting line-up, have been rather inconsistent lately, although they did make up for a surprise 4-1 home defeat to struggling Wolves with a 3-1 victory against Brighton on Thursday.

Marco Silva’s team can usually be relied upon to find the net, but the Gunners’ class looks set to tell in this one as they try to ensure they do not fall further behind Liverpool’s ferocious pacesetting.
