With Hollywood owners it should perhaps be no surprise that Wrexham's first two matches have contained plenty of late twists and turns and Saturday’s Championship clash with West Brom could be another box-office hit.

The Welsh side are loving life after three successive promotions and while the step up to the second tier is a far tougher challenge than anything they have faced so far, they have made a promising start.

Phil Parkinson's side went close to an upset in their tough opener against relegated Southampton at St Mary's, leading 1-0 for more than an hour through a Josh Windass penalty only to concede twice in added time.

The late drama favoured Wrexham in their midweek EFL Cup first-round tie against fellow Championship side Hull as they came back from 3-1 down with two Ollie Palmer added-time goals before winning in a shootout.

West Brom have had a much quieter start in comparison but they have three points more than Wrexham after beating Blackburn 1-0 in their first league game.

They suffered the opposite fate in the EFL Cup, though, conceding a late equaliser at home to Derby and losing on penalties.

Wrexham defender Sebastian Revan has joined League One Burton on loan.

Kieffer Moore and George Thomason are expected to miss out due to injuries.

West Brom made seven changes to their starting line-up for their midweek cup match. 

Josh Griffiths is set to return in goal after Joe Wildsmith made a costly error against Derby, while Darnell Furlong can return after suspension and Nat Phillips and George Campbell may also start.

Wrexham do not seem to do anything the easy way and anyone attending their game against West Brom is advised not to leave until the final whistle after four added-time goals were scored in their first two games this season.

Whichever way any late twists go, however, the value in the match-result market could lie with the draw as the biggest price of the three options.

All four games the teams have been involved in this season have been tight and while Wrexham will not find it easy to get their first win against an established top-10 team such as West Brom, the Baggies have to pick up their away form after failing to win any of their final 11 league road games last season.

Six of those were draws and with Ryan Mason's team starting well and looking hard to beat, the draw makes plenty of appeal.
