Brighton vs Tottenham prediction: Spurs can continue good league form

Brighton have won only once in the Premier League this season
Tottenham have won three of their four Premier League matches
Recommended bet: Tottenham to win
Tottenham returned to the Champions League with a bang against Villarreal on Tuesday, securing a 1-0 victory.
This marked the club’s first win in the competition since November 2022.
Brighton have endured a mixed start to the league season. The Seagulls have won just once across their opening four matches, although that sole success did come against Manchester City.

Team news
Brighton’s Adam Webster will be missing for a large portion of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury during the summer. Solly March is also out due to a knee problem
Jack Hinshelwood, Maxim de Cuyper and Mats Wieffer are all considered doubts.
Meanwhile, Spurs’ James Maddison and Radu Dragusin are out for the majority of the season. Dejan Kulusevski will also miss the match and will not be back in action until early 2026.
Both Dominic Solanke and Yves Bissouma could return before the end of September, but this match comes too soon for them.
The stats
Last season, Brighton held the upper hand over Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham, claiming 4-1 and 3-2 victories.
February 2024 was the last time Spurs got the better of Brighton, but you have to go all the way back to October 2022 for their last win at the AMEX Stadium.
Despite this, the away side are in solid form heading into the clash. So far, Thomas Frank has led his team to wins over Burnley, Manchester City and West Ham United in the league, all without conceding a goal.
Spurs’ defeat to AFC Bournemouth at the end of August was a blip and they head into the tie following a European win over Villarreal.
In contrast, Brighton haven’t had quite the same success. Of course, they did come back from a goal down to secure all three points against Manchester City, but this remains their only Premier League victory.
The Seagulls have scored 10 goals across their opening five matches, but this is skewed slightly due to a 6-0 win over Oxford in the Carabao Cup.
Spurs have found the back of the net 11 times in six games, conceding only three goals in that time.

Prediction
Frank has revitalised Spurs since taking over in the summer and the club head into the Brighton clash full of optimism.
With players such as Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons settling in well in north London, both could be key to unlocking the Brighton defence on Saturday.
The Seasiders proved in their win against City that they can deliver a big performance when it matters. For Fabian Hurzeler, however, his side need to be far more consistent if they want to reach the highs of eighth place again.
This will be a tight match, but expect Spurs to nick all three points on the road.
