All nine LaLiga midweek games predictions - Week 6

Real Madrid top LaLiga table with five wins out of five
Real Sociedad, Mallorca and Girona still await a victory
Celta Vigo winless but have drawn five of their six games
Real Betis' European commitments mean their clash with Celta Vigo will be played at a later date, but the remaining nine matches in La Liga should provide plenty of excitement and we have previewed each one.
Athletic Bilbao vs Girona (Tuesday, 6pm)
Many thought Girona's regression was complete when they fell from finishing third in 2023-24 to 16th last term, but they have only got worse and are propping up the table after earning just one point and conceding 15 goals in five games.
Athletic Bilbao have lost three games in a row without scoring, but they have a golden opportunity to bounce back against a side who were beaten 4-0 by Levante on Saturday.
Score prediction: Athletic Bilbao 2-0 Girona
Espanyol vs Valencia (Tuesday, 6pm)
One of the surprise packages in LaLiga, Espanyol, who many thought would go down this season, have picked up a respectable 10 points from their first five games.
Valencia have also been going well, however, winning two of their last three, so this in-form pair may share the spoils in Barcelona.
Score prediction: Espanyol 1-1 Valencia
Levante vs Real Madrid (Tuesday, 8.30pm)
Real Madrid have won six in a row in all competitions and are unlikely to have their streak snapped by Levante, but the hosts only narrowly lost a 3-2 thriller with Barcelona last month and can net in defeat.
Score prediction: Levante 1-4 Real Madrid
Sevilla vs Villarreal (Tuesday, 8.30pm)
Villarreal's strong start has fizzled out, but they are still a decent side and can come away from Sevilla with a point, despite their hosts' recent improvements.
Three of this pair's last seven meetings have finished 1-1 and the same scoreline is on the cards with both sides in similar form.
Score prediction: Sevilla 1-1 Villarreal
Getafe vs Alaves (Wednesday, 6pm)
Jose Bordalas draws plenty of criticism for his style of play, but it does get results, with Getafe winning three of their first five games.
They should have enough to make that four in six against Alaves, who were beaten 2-1 by an inconsistent Sevilla on Saturday.
Score prediction: Getafe 1-0 Alaves
Atletico Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano (Wednesday, 8.30pm)
A poor start to the season continued for Atletico Madrid when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Mallorca on Sunday and further frustration could be in store against Rayo Vallecano.
Rayo have lost just two of their seven games in all competitions, while Atleti have managed one win in six, suggesting the visitors can come away with a point.
Score prediction: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Rayo Vallecano
Real Sociedad vs Mallorca (Wednesday, 8.30pm)
Showing no signs of improvement, Real Sociedad's recent record now reads one win in 13 and none in six.
Mallorca, meanwhile, will be buoyant after taking a point off Atletico Madrid on Sunday and should earn another in the Basque Country.
Score prediction: Real Sociedad 0-0 Mallorca
Osasuna vs Elche (Thursday, 6.30pm)
There looks to be little between this pair, with each winning two of their last four games.
A low-scoring draw looks a likely outcome with both Osasuna and Elche conceding just four goals in their opening five matches.
Score prediction: Osasuna 0-0 Elche
Real Oviedo vs Barcelona (Thursday, 8.30pm)
Real Oviedo are finding life back in the top-flight tough, picking up just three points and scoring one goal in their opening five games.
Back champions Barcelona, who have scored 21 goals while winning six of their last seven matches, to win comfortably.
Score prediction: Real Oviedo 0-3 Barcelona
