Leicester will look to make it two wins from two matches in the Championship when they travel to Deepdale to take on Preston on Saturday afternoon.

The Foxes came back from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday last weekend to record their first victory under new manager Marti Cifuentes.

Cifuentes' former club, QPR, held Preston to a 1-1 draw last weekend and Paul Heckingbottom's side will look to pick up another positive result as they play in front of their home fans for the first time.

Team News

Heckingbottom has several injury issues to contend with as Jordan Thompson, Mads Frokjaer-Jensen, Robbie Brady and Brad Potts are all sidelined through injury.

Centre-back Liam Lindsay is a doubt due to illness, while the game comes too soon for striker Will Keane.

Leicester defenders Victor Kristiansen and Ricardo Pereira will miss out, but they are expected to return before the end of the month. However, Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Harry Souttar are still in the treatment room.

The stats

Preston have only scored two goals from 33 shots this season, beating League Two Barrow 1-0 in the Carabao Cup despite having 22 efforts at goal, five of which were on target.

North End scored one from 11 attempts in the 1-1 draw at QPR, three of which were on target.

Both teams have scored in Preston's last eight games in the Championship.

The Foxes racked up 27 shots, with 13 on target, in their opening 2-1 league win over 10-man Sheffield Wednesday.

Both sides have netted in both of Leicester's matches this season, with the Foxes losing on penalties to Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup after a 2-2 draw.

Cifuentes' side have scored exactly twice in five of their last six competitive matches.

Only Leeds, Burnley and Bristol City lost fewer home games than Preston's tally of four in the Championship last season, although a league-high 12 draws saw them pick up just 33 points at Deepdale.

Prediction

Leicester are one of the leading candidates for promotion after their relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Foxes have a squad capable of beating most teams and should have no worries when they travel to Deepdale.

Preston only avoided relegation on the final day of last season after winning only 10 of their 46 matches.

The likes of Emil Riis, Freddie Woodman and Ryan Ledson have all left the club and they should struggle to compete with Leicester over the 90 minutes.

Leicester may take a few weeks to really hit their stride, but their comeback win over Sheffield Wednesday showed they are up for the fight and an away victory looks to be on the cards.
