He faces a relatively straightforward match against Charlton, which suggests a winning return is certainly on the cards, especially if he can get that new manager bounce.
Charlton will turn to midfielder Sonny Carey in order to heap more misery on the Blades' defence, especially after he scored the opener against Millwall last week.
Wilder might not be aiming for a Premier League spot ahead of his return, but the players will surely be full of optimism that a familiar figure is back in the dugout.
