Kieran McKenna's Ipswich will fancy their chances of a derby win at home to Norwich on Sunday
  • Sheffield United have lost nine of their last 10 matches

  • Sheffield Wednesday have gone 17 home games without a clean sheet

  • Wrexham have scored in their last 15 fixtures

There are still two unbeaten teams in the Championship after leaders Middlesbrough secured a 0-0 draw at home to Stoke and second-placed Coventry won 4-0 at Millwall.

Both have away games this weekend, with Boro heading to Portsmouth and the Sky Blues taking on struggling Sheffield Wednesday.

Wrexham vs Birmingham (Friday, 8pm)

Wrexham have picked up seven of their nine points on their Championship travels, but they can secure a long-awaited home victory over Birmingham, who have been beaten in three successive away games.

Score prediction: Wrexham 2-1 Birmingham

Blackburn vs Stoke (Saturday, 12.30pm)

The table makes pretty grim reading for Blackburn, but Valerien Ismael's side played well in the 2-1 midweek loss at home to Swansea and they can follow by sharing the spoils with high-flying Stoke.

Score prediction: Blackburn 1-1 Stoke

Hull vs Sheff Utd (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has not got the response he was hoping for and his team may struggle to avoid defeat against Hull, who have taken seven points from four home fixtures.

Score prediction: Hull 2-1 Sheffield United

Sheff Wed vs Coventry (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Spirited Sheffield Wednesday conceded a 99th minute equaliser in the 2-2 draw at Birmingham and they could be brushed aside by Coventry, who were 4-0 midweek winners at Millwall.

Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 0-2 Coventry

Bristol City vs QPR (Saturday, 3pm)

QPR have been left disappointed by draws away to Sheffield Wednesday (1-1) and at home to Oxford (0-0), but they are unbeaten in five and can share the points with Bristol City, who have won only once on home turf.

Score prediction: Bristol City 1-1 QPR

Derby vs Southampton (Saturday, 3pm)

Derby have drawn four of their last six league games, but they can clinch a surprise victory over Southampton, who are struggling to live up to pre-season expectations.

Score prediction: Derby 2-1 Southampton

Millwall vs West Brom (Saturday, 3pm)

Millwall had a woeful Wednesday – losing 4-0 at home to Coventry – but they will be targeting a response and can share the points with fourth-placed West Brom.

Score prediction: Millwall 1-1 West Brom

Portsmouth vs Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3pm)

It might be too early to flag up Middlesbrough as promotion probables, but the north-east side are looking confident and organised and they will not have to be too special to see off out-of-form Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

Score prediction: Portsmouth 0-2 Middlesbrough

Preston vs Charlton (Saturday, 3pm)

Preston have collected eight points from a tough batch of four home games and should have the edge over Charlton, who were outshot 18 to 11 in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Derby.

Score prediction: Preston 2-1 Charlton

Swansea vs Leicester (Saturday, 3pm)

Leicester have reeled off four straight draws and could feature in another stalemate against Swansea, who have not lost a home game since March.

Score prediction: Swansea 1-1 Leicester

Watford vs Oxford (Saturday, 3pm)

Oxford have taken four points from their last two away games and can share the spoils in Hertfordshire against an unconvincing Watford side.

Score prediction: Watford 1-1 Oxford

Ipswich vs Norwich (Sunday, 12.00)

Ipswich followed back-to-back wins with a solid 1-1 draw at Bristol City and they should be far too strong for bitter rivals Norwich, who lost 1-0 in midweek at home to West Brom.

Score prediction: Ipswich 3-0 Norwich
