Mark Robins' Stoke have won their opening three Championship games and top Middlesbrough on goal difference
  • Stoke and Middlesbrough are the only two sides with a perfect record after three games

  • Coventry, West Brom, Birmingham, Preston and Bristol City also unbeaten

  • Sheffield United and Oxford are both searching for their first points of the new season

It is another big week in the Championship, starting with a blockbuster clash between Leicester and Birmingham on Friday night, while Coventry will hope to build on their 7-1 win over QPR at Oxford, who were beaten 6-0 at home by Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday..

We’ve got correct score predictions for all 12 fixtures, including the Saturday lunchtime TV clash between Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.

Leicester vs Birmingham (Friday, 8pm)

Both of these teams are fancied for promotion this season, but Leicester were fortunate to leave Charlton with a win last week and the newly-promoted Blues could claim a point at the King Power.

Score prediction: Leicester 1-1 Birmingham

Middlesbrough vs Sheffield United (Saturday, 12.30pm)

The Blades have had a poor start to the season, while Middlesbrough can build on wins at Millwall and Norwich to maintain their 100 per cent record in the league.

Score prediction: Middlesbrough 2-0 Sheffield United

QPR vs Charlton (Saturday, 12.30pm)

QPR have had to lick their wounds after a 7-1 loss at Coventry last week and things may not get better against Charlton, who are difficult to break down and were unfortunate to get nothing against Leicester last week.

Score prediction: QPR 0-2 Charlton

Stoke vs West Brom (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Stoke have won all three of their league games, but fell to Bradford 3-0 at home in the Carabao Cup in midweek and could be vulnerable against West Brom, who rued some key decisions not going their way in last week’s 1-1 draw with Portsmouth.

Score prediction: Stoke 1-1 West Brom

Blackburn vs Norwich (Saturday, 3pm)

Blackburn bounced back from conceding two late goals in a defeat to Birmingham in their last home match by winning 3-0 at Hull last week and this could be an entertaining draw with Norwich, who have won at Watford and Portsmouth in their last two away games.

Score prediction: Blackburn 2-2 Norwich

Bristol City vs Hull (Saturday, 3pm)

Hull were poor at home to Blackburn last week while Bristol City have looked lively in the league so far, particularly in their 4-1 win on the opening weekend at Sheffield United, so go for a Robins win.

Score prediction: Bristol City 2-0 Hull

Ipswich vs Derby (Saturday, 3pm)

Derby have not won any of their last six matches, so this looks a good chance for Ipswich to kick-start their season after taking just two points from their opening three matches..

Score prediction: Ipswich 2-0 Derby

Millwall vs Wrexham (Saturday, 3pm)

Millwall look to be struggling with inconsistency once more this season and Wrexham could claim a win in London after staging a fine comeback in the cup at Preston.

Score prediction: Millwall 1-2 Wrexham

Oxford vs Coventry (Saturday, 3pm)

Oxford were steamrolled 6-0 by Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and it is difficult to see anything other than a Coventry win following the Sky Blues’ 7-1 thumping of QPR last week.

Score prediction: Oxford 0-3 Coventry

Portsmouth vs Preston (Saturday, 3pm)

Portsmouth were fortunate to gain a point at West Brom on Saturday and have already lost at home to Reading and Norwich this season, so expect Preston to recover from squandering a two-goal cup lead against Wrexham.

Score prediction: Portsmouth 1-2 Preston

Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea (Saturday, 3pm)

Wednesday will still be buzzing after a win over Leeds on penalties, but their problems are not going away and they could come unstuck against a Swansea team who are difficult to break down.

Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Swansea

Watford vs Southampton (Saturday, 3pm)

Southampton lost 2-1 at home to Stoke last week and may have to settle for a point against Watford, who have recovered well from their opening-weekend defeat at Charlton.

Score prediction: Watford 1-1 Southampton
