Championship outright predictions: Ipswich can secure immediate Prem return

The Championship remains one of the most competitive and exciting leagues in the world, despite the fact that the three promoted teams have all returned from the Premier League to the second tier at the first time of asking in the last two seasons.
With the arrivals of big-spending Birmingham and Wrexham, the division looks stronger than last time around and an intriguing campaign lies in wait.

Tractor Boys fancied to bounce straight back
Ipswich endured a tough time back in the Premier League for the first time since 2002, finishing 19th, but they have managed to retain the services of their manager Kieran McKenna and could bounce back at the first time of asking.
The Tractor Boys may have lost star striker Liam Delap but they have a core of players who have excelled in the Championship before, namely Jaden Philogene, Sammie Szmodics, Leif Davis, Jack Clarke and Jacob Greaves.
To add to that they have also signed Ivory Coast international Cedric Kipre, veteran Ashley Young and solid midfielder Azor Matusiwa.
McKenna’s side have also been linked with impressive young Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney and look a tough team to crack.
Fellow relegated side Southampton should be up there too but their defensive issues from last term are hard to ignore and Ipswich look the safer option.

Summer moves make Canaries dangerous
Norwich had a tough campaign last season, finishing in mid-table despite scoring the second-most goals behind Leeds. That was mostly due to them conceding the sixth-most goals in the division and new manager Liam Manning has been tasked with tightening them up at the back.
The Canaries have added Jakov Medic, Harry Darling and Jeffrey Schlupp at the back too and picked up one of the signings of the summer in striker Mathias Kvistgaarden, who netted 23 goals for Brondby in the Danish top flight last season.
Even if star man Josh Sargent departs, Norwich look set for a top-six finish.
Yellows could be destined for the drop
Oxford finished just four points above the relegation zone last season but look set to succumb to the drop this time around.
The Yellows had the second-worst expected goals figures in the division last term and have not added much quality in the transfer window.
Gary Rowett produced a new manager bounce with his arrival and did well to keep Oxford up but they look set to struggle this this time around and a return to League One beckons.
