Prediction

Charlton took four points from their opening two league matches following their return to the Championship, but the wheels have quickly come off for last season's League One play-off winners.

The Addicks are on a four-match winless run and that includes defeats in each of their last three outings. Just two goals have been scored across that sequence and a south London derby is hardly the ideal fixture in which to try to get back on track.

Charlton have a miserable record in this fixture anyway, and the best bet looks to be a Millwall victory on Saturday.

The Lions have lost just one of their last 20 meetings with their local rivals and they have won both of their away league matches this term.

A 2-0 home loss to Wrexham last time out was a setback but not a disaster against the big spenders, and Alex Neil will be confident his team can follow up on impressive away wins at Sheffield United and Norwich so far this season.

It was 1-0 to Millwall on their last visit to The Valley and another cagey encounter can be expected with Charlton finding goals hard to come by.

Jones' side have fired blanks in their last five home fixtures against the Lions and things haven't gone much better on their return to the second tier.

The Addicks have managed just two goals in four Championship outings in the early stages of this campaign and a Millwall win to nil offers a better-value alternative for punters looking for more bang for their buck in this juicy contest.
