Club Brugge vs RB Salzburg predictions: Hosts to see off wounded Austrians

Club Brugge won 1-0 away last week
RB Salzburg warmed up for second leg with weekend 5-0 home league win over Grazer AK
Recommended bet: Club Brugge to win and both teams to score
Battling for a 1-0 win in Austria, Club Brugge hold a slender advantage going into the second leg of their Champions League third-round qualifier against RB Salzburg on Tuesday.
Romeo Vermant's 75th-minute winner was the difference between the two sides in the first leg in Salzburg and now they lock horns again on Tuesday at Jan Breydel Stadium.
Salzburg have been plagued by injuries at this fledgling stage of the season and they face an uphill battle when they head to Brugge this week for the second leg.
Team news
Club Brugge boss Nicky Hayen is blessed with almost a full squad to choose from for this second leg, with Gustaf Nilsson (Achilles) and Michal Skoras (knock) the only expected absentees.
Right-back Kyriani Sabbe had picked up a minor issue but the 20-year-old has recovered from the injury and is expected to feature on Tuesday.
In contrast, RB Salzburg are having a torrid time with injuries and could have as many as nine players missing for the trip to Belgium.
Experienced striker Karim Onisiwo is sidelined, as is fellow centre forward Karim Konate, as he continues his long recovery from an ACL tear.
Meanwhile, Justin Omoregie (Achilles), Moussa Yeo (knee), Valentin Sulzbacher (thigh), Takumu Kawamura (knee), John Mellberg (knee), Christian Zawieschitzky (calf) and Anrie Chase (adductor) are also set to miss out for the visitors.
The stats
Club Brugge have a decent home record in the Champions League, with just one defeat in their last five games in this competition at Jan Breydel Stadium (3W, 1D, 1L).
Salzburg have lost three of their last five away games in the Champions League, suffering defeats to the likes of Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen and Sparta Prague by an aggregate scoreline of 13-1.
Both teams have scored in four of Club Brugge’s last five games in the Belgian top flight.

Prediction
Given that Salzburg had 20 shots at goal but just five on target in the first leg, the Austrian giants will need to be far more clinical if they are to stand a chance of causing an upset on Tuesday.
However, considering the visitors’ injury woes, it is hard to see them having enough firepower to win the game, although with the amount of chances they create, Salzburg can get at least get on the scoresheet in the second leg.
Expect Club Brugge to continue their positive home form in the Champions League and secure an entertaining victory on their way to the play-offs.
