No hard feelings

Danish reporter Niels Christian Frederiksen says he has no issue with Jurgen Klopp after the Liverpool boss snapped at him following the Reds' FA Cup loss at Manchester United.

A clip of the interview — which went out live on Danish TV — has gone viral on social media, showing the German questioning Frederiksen's "dumb questions" before asking "what is wrong with you?" and storming off.

But the journalist insists he does not have any ill-feeling towards the outgoing tactician.

Frederiksen told Danish magazine Tipsbladet: "I interpret it mostly as an expression of his terrible frustration that they lost to Manchester United in the manner it happened, where they were ahead twice and should have sealed the deal.

"Then he got a question about why they didn't have intensity in the game, and then he snapped. That's fair enough.

"I have absolutely no problem with that. There will be absolutely no problems in the future. I can't imagine that at all.

"When I interview him again, we'll still be good friends — professionally speaking. I don't think he holds a grudge and I certainly don't."

All kicking off

An investigation has been launched after Trabzonspor fans ran onto the pitch and started a brawl following their side's 3-2 loss to Fenerbahce.

The Super Lig contest was marred by the ugly scenes at full-time, with 12 supporters arrested for their actions as of Monday morning.

Footage circulating on social media shows ex-Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, who netted an 87th-minute winner for the visitors, narrowly missing a charging fan with a roundhouse kick.

Meanwhile, former Blackpool and QPR winger Bright Osayi-Samuel was also pictured having to fight off pitch invaders at Papara Park.

It is the second incident to mar Turkey's top tier this season after referee Halil Umut Meler was punched by Ankaragucu president Faruk Koca in December, which led to a suspension of league fixtures.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino said: "I have said it before and I will say it again. Without exception, in football, all players have to be safe and secure to play the game which brings such joy to so many people all over the world."

Palmer suspended

Coventry will be without key midfielder Kasey Palmer for their FA Cup semi-final clash with Manchester United.

The 27-year-old picked up a yellow card in the final seconds of the Sky Blues' epic 3-2 victory over Wolves, returning to the pitch to celebrate Haji Wright's winner having been subbed off after 70 minutes.

Sadly for Palmer, it was his second yellow of the competition, meaning he must sit out his side's Wembley showdown with the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Amad Diallo — who was sent off late in United's equally bonkers 4-3 win over Liverpool — will be available for the contest due to red card suspensions not being competition-specific.

The 21-year-old Ivorian will instead miss his side's Premier League clash with Brentford on March 30.

Up for the fight

Daniel James has warned Leeds are determined to finish the job after moving top of the Championship yesterday.

The Yorkshire giants were at one point 17 behind Enzo Maresca's Leicester at the second-tier summit but have ruthlessly reeled in their title rivals with 12 wins in their last 13 league outings.

James netted in a 2-0 win over Millwall which leaves the Whites top heading into the international break on goal difference, though Leicester do have a crucial game in hand.

The Welsh winger said: "We've been great this year to chase that gap but there's still eight games to go.

"We know it's not finished yet and we'll be ready for the run-in after the internationals."

Arrests made

Greater Manchester Police made eight arrests after Manchester United's FA Cup win over Liverpool — including three related to alleged tragedy chanting.

Offensive songs were said to be heard during the extra-time period of what was an epic contest and now the police force have taken action.

A statement read: "We are all familiar with fans taunting their opponents but this is generally done in good humour and without offence.

"The incidents today crossed the line of what is acceptable. Incidents of tragedy chanting will not be tolerated and will be dealt with robustly.

"We will work closely with both clubs to identify anyone responsible for committing offences during the event."
