Serie A Predictions - Week 30

&w=707&quality=100)
- Inter are three points clear at the summit
- Napoli and Atalanta are both in the title race
- Monza are rock-bottom, 10 points from safety
A dramatic Serie A season took another turn before the international break as Inter Milan beat their closest title rivals Atalanta 2-0 to open up a three-point gap at the summit.
Things in the Italian top flight get back underway on Saturday and with plenty to play for in the races for the title, European football and survival, there promises to be plenty more drama this weekend.
Como vs Empoli (Saturday, 2pm)
Both Como and Empoli have gone three matches without a win and the pair may be happy to settle for a point when playing out a low-scoring clash in Lombardy.
Score prediction: Como 1-1 Empoli
Venezia vs Bologna (Saturday, 2pm)
Venezia have drawn four matches in a row but they are still mired in the relegation zone and their unbeaten run should come to an end against Bologna, who have recovered from their summer exodus of players to move up to fourth following four straight wins.
Score prediction: Venezia 0-2 Bologna
Juventus vs Genoa (Saturday, 5pm)
A 3-0 defeat to Fiorentina, which immediately followed a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Atalanta, spelled the end of Thiago Motta’s time as manager of Juventus but his successor, Igor Tudor, can open with a win over Genoa, who are 17 points worse off than their hosts.
Score prediction: Juventus 2-1 Genoa
Lecce vs Roma (Saturday, 7.45pm)
&w=707&quality=100)
A 13-match unbeaten run in Serie A has lifted Roma into top-six contention and Claudio Ranieri’s side can continue their push for European football with a win over lowly Lecce.
Score prediction: Lecce 0-2 Roma
Cagliari vs Monza (Sunday, 11.30am)
Rock-bottom Monza have scored just two goals while winning none of their last five matches and net-bulging action could be sparse in their clash with Cagliari, who have won just four of their last 21 Serie A matches and may be frustrated by their visitors.
Score prediction: Cagliari 0-0 Monza
Fiorentina vs Atalanta (Sunday, 2pm)
Atalanta remain in the title race despite their defeat to Inter while Fiorentina are in the hunt for European football. Each of these sides have netted nine goals across their last four games and a thrilling draw could be on the cards.
Score prediction: Fiorentina 2-2 Atalanta
Inter vs Udinese (Sunday, 2pm)
Udinese have lost just one of their last seven matches but given Inter’s important and professional 2-0 win over Atalanta last time, even they are unlikely to stop the champions extending their winning streak to five games in all competitions.
Score prediction: Inter 2-0 Udinese
Napoli vs AC Milan (Sunday, 7.45pm)
The weekend’s standout fixture sees Napoli welcome AC Milan and the hosts should come out on top. Antonio Conte’s side are still in the title race and can make it six defeats in eight away games for the Rossoneri.
Score prediction: Napoli 1-0 AC Milan
Verona vs Parma (Monday, 5.30pm)
Just four points separate Verona and Parma in the Serie A table and the pair, who are both far from safe, may be happy to settle for a stalemate on Monday.
Score prediction: Verona 1-1 Parma
Lazio vs Torino (Monday, 7.45pm)
Lazio have had two weeks to mull over their 5-0 drubbing at Bologna and while they are unlikely to be quite as bad again, they may not have enough to stop Torino extending their unbeaten run to five with a draw in the capital.
Score prediction: Lazio 1-1 Torino
