- Parma and Bologna have drawn 16 of their 37 Serie A meetings
- Torino are unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 home league games against AC Milan
- Lazio are the only team yet to draw away from home in Serie A this season

The top 10 face the bottom 10 in this weekend’s latest round of Serie A fixtures with the prospect of no teams changing position if all the favourites win.

Juventus will look to build on their Derby d’Italia win over Inter Milan and apply further pressure on the top three when they travel to Cagliari on Saturday.

They and Atalanta, who are at Empoli on the same day, can now fully focus their attention on the Scudetto after being knocked out of the Champions League in midweek.

Simon Barlow has correct-score predictions for all 10 Italian Serie A matches this weekend.

Lecce vs Udinese (Friday, 7.45pm)

Udinese have picked up the faint scent of a European place after taking seven points from their last three matches. They also know that one goal could suffice at Via del Mare, where Lecce have scored a pitiful nine goals in 12 home fixtures and drawn a blank in their last three.

Score prediction: Lecce 0-1 Udinese

Parma vs Bologna (Saturday, 2pm)

Parma pulled the plug on Fabio Pecchia after a string of poor results that saw them fall into the bottom three, so newly-appointed Christian Chivu takes charge of his first senior game. That change may lift spirits enough for Parma to take a point from a Bologna team that has drawn four of their last five away league games.

Score prediction: Parma 1-1 Bologna

Venezia vs Lazio (Saturday, 2pm)

Venezia’s slide back into Serie B continues to gather pace as they embark on a tough run of fixtures on the back of a three-match losing run. Visitors Lazio have won six of their last eight away Serie A games and will surely show no mercy as they chase a Champions League slot.

Marco Baroni's Lazio have won seven of their 12 away trips in Serie A, a tally bettered only by the top three

Score prediction: Venezia 0-3 Lazio

Torino vs AC Milan (Saturday, 5pm)

Torino have lost four of their six home games against the current top-eight clubs and are dealing with a long list of injury absentees, but this is probably a good time to face the Rossoneri. Milan’s Champions League exit at the hands of Feyenoord has brought stories of unrest in the camp to light and they may slip up if Torino take the game to them.

Score prediction: Torino 2-1 AC Milan

Inter Milan vs Genoa (Saturday, 8pm)

The Nerazurri normally bounce back from disappointing results like last week’s defeat to Juventus. Simone Inzaghi’s side have won all four of their games that followed a loss this season and should dispatch a Genoa side that has scored only twice during a 10-game losing run in trips to face Inter at San Siro.

Score prediction: Inter Milan 2-0 Genoa

Como vs Napoli (Sunday, 11:30am)

Como’s January business looks like keeping them up with Cesc Fabregas’ side halting a  three-game losing run with an impressive 2-0 win at Fiorentina last week. Their best chance of following that up at home to the league leaders will be to attack. However, Napoli may just have enough physicality and firepower to break a three-game sequence of draws.

Score prediction: Como 1-2 Napoli

Verona vs Fiorentina (Sunday, 2pm)

La Viola were surprised at home by Como on Sunday, but should return to winning ways against a Verona side that have lost five of their last six at home.

Score prediction: Verona 0-2 Fiorentina

Empoli vs Atalanta (Sunday, 5pm)

Gian Piero Gasperini's Atalanta are dealing with fatigue from their Champions League exit in midweek

All eyes will be on Ademola Lookman in Empoli to see if the Atalanta star is ready to put the drama of his penalty miss and subsequent reaction to Gian Piero Gasperini’s criticism behind him. Empoli were much better than the 3-0 scoreline at Udinese reflected last week and can grab a draw if the visitors suffer from any European hangover.

Score prediction: Empoli 1-1 Atalanta

Empoli vs Atalanta (Sunday, 5pm)

Juventus have slipped up a couple of times in games that followed away Champions League trips and it would be no surprise of they were a little off their best after Wednesday’s extra-time exit in Eindhoven.

Score prediction: Cagliari 1-1 Juventus

Roma vs Monza (Monday, 7:45pm)

Claudio Ranieri will rotate again but Roma’s Serie A form is good enough to suggest whatever team the Tinkerman selects will outmanoeuvre Monza. The basement club re-hired Alessandro Nesta seven weeks after sacking him, but their fate already looks sealed.

Score prediction: Roma 3-1 Monza
