Fluminense vs Ulsan HD predictions: Brazilians fancied to land easy win

&w=707&quality=100)
- Fluminense opened their Club World Cup campaign by drawing 0-0 with Borussia Dortmund
- Ulsan HD were beaten 1-0 by South African side Mamelodi Sundowns in their opener
- Recommended bet: Fluminense to win to nil
Fluminense will have been thrilled with their Club World Cup draw, knowing that even if they lost their opener against Borussia Dortmund they would still be in a strong position to progress, with Mamelodi Sundowns and Ulsan HD some way off the level of the other two sides in their section.
Despite that, Flu landed an excellent result in their opening game, drawing 0-0 with Dortmund and they will be full of confidence heading into their clash with Ulsan on Saturday.
Ulsan, meanwhile, were beaten 1-0 by Mamelodi and are unlikely to pose much of a threat to the Brazilians, who should cruise to victory at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Team news
Yeferson Soteldo remains Fluminense’s only absentee and Renato Gaucho may be unwilling to make any alterations to his starting XI after his side’s strong performance against Dortmund.
Ulsan have no injury concerns, but boss Pan-gon Kim may be more inclined to ring the changes after a disappointing defeat to Mamelodi, with Matias Lacava and Jin-hyun Lee among those bidding to start.
The stats
Fluminense have kept three consecutive clean sheets and the Brazilian side are on a seven-match unbeaten run.
Ulsan HD were beaten 3-1 in their last K-League game before losing to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Kevin Serna has scored two of Fluminense’s last three goals.
Ulsan have won just one of their last six matches when playing away from their home stadium.
Fluminense outshot German giants Dortmund 14-7 in their opener.
Prediction
Following an impressive 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund, in which they racked up 14 shots while limiting their opponents to just seven, Fluminense come into their second Club World Cup game as strong favourites.
An experienced squad, headlined by Thiago Silva and Ganso should prove far too strong for Ulsan, who will still be reeling after a defeat to Mamelodi on Wednesday.
That loss perhaps should not have come as a major shock, though, as the South Korean side have struggled on the road for a while now, winning just one of their last six away games if counting Wednesday’s defeat in Orlando.
The fact that they failed to find the net against Mamelodi will be a real worry for fans of the Tigers, especially as they now face a Flu side who have kept clean sheets in the three most recent matches in an ongoing seven-game unbeaten run.
The Brazilians are a much stronger team on paper and, full of confidence following their draw with BVB, can beat Ulsan without conceding.
